The Muppets (2011) ***
The Muppets (2011) has a lot of heart, but it still doesn't resonate with me the way it appears to for some (most). I appreciate that it might make new generations of Muppet fans, but it'll never rank alongside The Muppet Movie or The Great Muppet Caper, as far as the films go, for me.
Here is my review from my first viewing in the theater. I'm actually giving the film a half star less for my rating, which now ties it with The Muppets Take Manhattan, out of the four films that I've seen. I can't say I have a burning desire to see any of the other (non Henson-helmed) films. I'm glad I opted for a rental on this one, as I don't feel the need to own it.
