Grave Descend (1970) is a solid thriller, sort of a lite version of Elmore Leonard meets Ian Fleming ( James Bond ).
Stephen King "Joyland" (2013) ****1/2
I read Joyland (2013) on my flights out to Seattle for a vacation. Really, really enjoyed it. That Robert McGinnis artwork is beautiful and it was neat to read on Wikipedia that Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH was one of the sources of inspiration for the novel. Memories of Whalom Park floated through my mind constantly as I was reading this. My first job was there, in the games department.
