A stacked cast of young, obnoxiously attractive actors and a few genre vets in a perfectly adequate, mostly mediocre, and very '90s  Body Snatchers ( 1956 review )/ The Breakfast Club  (1985) ( review )/ The Thing  (1982) ( review ) mashup with a subpar soundtrack of classic rock covers. I always thought that Robert Rodriguez 's The Faculty  (1998) was pretty fun (if dumb), but it hasn't aged quite as well as I'd hoped. Robert Rodriguez Feature Films Ranked

I don't understand the lukewarm reaction on Sin City: A Dame To Kill For  (2014) - overall, I thought it was great. I had no issues being fully immersed back into this world, even after 9 years. A lot of fun.

I hadn't even heard of this Robert Rodriguez film before it got released on Blu-ray this week. Well, it's actually a TV movie, which was part of a series , which I'm interested to see the other parts of now. This is a whole lot of fun and style and way better than you might expect. Probably the best $6.99 you could spend right now.

Jeff Fahey : easily my favorite thing about this film. This one's got it all - blood, boobs and bullets. And a cast that you wouldn't expect to see in a movie like this.

I never get sick of Desperado   (1995) .  Banderas really does lay it on thick, but it works.  Buscemi's facial expressions are what make the opening scene classic. I forgot how strange and somewhat anti-climactic the "ending" is though.

I have no idea how many times I've seen El Mariachi  (1992) (maybe 4?). I forgot how great it is. I love the dream sequences; they remind me of early 70s  Romero or Italian horror.  Carlos Gallardo is a bit like a Spanish Ricky Nelson . He really carries the film in the acting department.  Consuelo Gómez has got nothing on Salma Hayek   though.
