Father's Day (2011) ***1/2

Maybe I'm giving a rating as high as this because I saw it with the right audience, with Lloyd Kaufman present, but Father's Day (2011) was a whole lot of fun. Pretty much everything you want from a Troma film, with even a little bit more style and "substance". Bizarre, nonsensical and hilarious.

  1. This movie was ridiculous amounts of fun. So much looking forward to the Blu-ray release so I can watch it again.

This is Christopher D. Jacobson who posts at Michael Mackenzie's blog. Was stopping in to see if you had ordered anything from the Horror Movie Empire sale(s)? If so, I'm sure you know how f***ed the whole situation is. Sorry if it's become a hassle for you or anybody you know; the store's usually been good for me, but Demetrios really went overboard with this sale; he should have ended the sale within the first couple of days considering the response it got; he should have full well known he couldn't fulfill all those orders.

So just inquiring whether you ordered and have gotten anything. Thought I'd touch base since I brought the sale up at Mackenzie's blog.

  2. Hey Kriztoffer,

I did order a few things. I was one of the lucky ones, who got a polite response and who received my items within a reasonable amount of time. One of my friends also received one of his items very quickly, but still has not received a few others.
I have a pre-order in for Strip Nude For Your Killer and I foolishly did not put in a Paypal claim in time. We'll see if I get it...
