About Me

I love
my family, my friends, music (w/o which I might die), films (also w/o which I would likely perish), literature, theatre, art/photography, hiking (year round), backpacking, mountain biking, camping, snowshoeing, good conversation, burritos, candlepin bowling (I was in a league for a time), Skee-Ball, walking in the woods, reading in the shade, warm days, cool nights, dancing w/ myself (♫oh oh oh-oh♫), driving in my car in summer with the windows down & the music loud, the outline of dead trees against the sky, the sound of the wind in a serene place.

I admire
honesty, modesty, generosity, politeness, respectfulness, selflessness, healthy lifestyles.

I
collect Blu-rays/DVDs, CDs, records & the occasional comic book, prefer the country to the city, alphabetize just about everything, do not like professional sports or competition, do not typically get involved in politics, have a mildly cynical sensibility (I think a little bit of cynicism is important to have), feel simultaneously blessed & cursed by technology.

I am
a vegan (of 10 years and was a vegetarian for 3 years previous), drug-free, a list maker, overly organized (moderately OCD), alternately very soft-spoken or very loud.
