Refused "Freedom" (2015) ***1/2

I don't think anyone was expecting another album as influential as The Shape Of Punk To Come and with 17 years having passed since their last album, the expectations were bound to be monumental. But I really dig this album. I've been spinning it continuously since its release date last Tuesday. It's a more polished and poppy Refused, but all the elements are still there and I still say that it defied my expectations. It might not become the classic that Shape became, but Freedom is a worthy follow-up.
