The Virgin Suicides (1999) ****
The Virgin Suicides (1999) does a very good job of portraying the awkwardness of suburban teenage years and the reactions of neighbors and schoolmates to tragedy in this environment. A loose and lyrical film with a dreamy, melancholy score by Air, which surpasses even the film itself in quality.
