Normal Life (1996) ***
Normal Life (1996) is a solid crime drama based on the real lives of Jeffrey and Jill Erickson. According to the information on Wikipedia about the real couple, the film follows many of the actual events quite accurately. The movie never quite hits its stride and the score is a bit mis-cued at times, but it's still a good depiction of a desperate, toxic, co-dependent relationship, with two strong, committed central performances by Ashley Judd and Luke Perry, and director John McNaughton manages to put his stamp on the picture.
