In Cold Blood (1967) ****1/2
I ended up digging In Cold Blood (1967) more on this second viewing. Thoughts from my initial viewing here. Famously based on Truman Capote's book, I do now consider this film a bona fide classic.
All of the things that stood out to me on my first viewing did so again, but this time the bold editing by Peter Zinner also grabbed me. The shifting narrative and odd tonal switches put me off a bit the first time but that was all rectified when I saw the fantastic Criterion Collection Blu-ray. The supplements only aided my appreciation of this gem.
