Suburban Gothic (2014) ***1/2
A breezy, funny "horror comedy". Like a lighter John Waters meets Kevin Smith meets Todd Solondz . Richard Bates ' other 2 films are much darker (though still full of black humor), but I still really enjoyed this one. Silly and fun.
We Are Still Here (2015) ***
I'd say my sentiments from my first viewing are the same. Here's hoping this director gets a bigger budget and hones his skills a bit more on his next feature .
