Erica Putis "The Girl Of The Song" (2017) ***1/2

The Girl Of The Song (2017) is a fun fantasy adventure book for all ages. Fans of Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal and The Neverending Story should be very pleased with Erica Putis' short novel, one filled with magic and life lessons. My only complaint is that it's too short - I wanted more details about the various characters that the lead character Opal encounters, as well as the other world where she meets them. Here's to hoping for more stories from Erica in the future.
