Coming To America (1988) ****

I only watched John Landis' Coming To America (1988) for the first time three years ago and I enjoyed it even more on a rewatch. Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall are comedy gold in their multiple roles and I really appreciate the costumes by Deborah Nadoolman, the dance number choreographed by Paul Abdul, the score by Nile Rodgers, and the brilliant makeup by Rick Baker. Some stuff hasn't aged well and the story is predictable, but it's a very funny movie with its heart in the right place. Just let your Sooooul Glo!
