A candy-colored, crystal-coated, mist-enshrouded, hyper-stylized comic book fairy tale fever dream, filtered through Bava, De Palma, Friedkin, Lynch, and Mann, with an absolutely gorgeous score by Pino Donaggio. Bold cinematography, sumptuous production design, delicious artifice. Bizarre, mysterious, lovely.
