Birth Of The Living Dead (2013) ***1/2

A well-made documentary that explores the making of and reaction to NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1968), a landmark film in horror and in general. A nice assortment of topics discussed, including the guerrilla style filmmaking, difficulty in finding a distributor and the connection between the nation's civil unrest at the time and the film's portrayal and treatment of an unknown black lead actor. Good subjects interviewed and tied together with fun graphics/menus.
