Some Like It Hot (1959) *****

Some films transcend hyperbole. Some Like It Hot (1959) is brilliant, hilarious, flawlessly paced, endlessly rewatchable, one of my Top 10 Comedies, one of my Top 100 Films, and in a word: perfect. Billy Wilder truly was a genius and Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon were incredibly inspired casting (really, can you imagine anyone else in these roles?).
