Amazon Women On The Moon (1987) ***1/2

Amazon Women On The Moon (1987), a satire of late night low budget movies and television, is filled with sci-fi, slapstick, subversiveness, and brilliant performances. Not every skit is a knockout, so the film can be uneven at times, but I'd still argue that it's consistently funny and often hilarious (and works as well as it does by being virtue of being under 90 minutes). It features a ridiculously large cast of name actors and performers, and assured direction from John LandisJoe Dante, and more. For fans of The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977) and UHF (1989).
