Edward Scissorhands (1990) ****1/2

Not my favorite Tim Burton film, but perhaps the quintessential Tim Burton film. Perfectly cast (Dianne Wiest, MVP), exquisitely designed, beautifully scored, and often very funny. A wonderfully weird and tender fairy tale.
