Rampage - Original Cut (1987) ***

William Friedkin's Rampage (1987) is a solid court room/serial killer drama (based on "The Vampire Of Sacramento") with good performances. While it contains a few sensational scenes, it suffers from being polemic and never truly grabs the viewer. A very underplayed Friedkin film, but not one without merits (chiefly its attention to detail in the trial of a man who has committed horrific crimes).
