Elle (2016) ***1/2

Elle (2016) is one bizarre, complex, provocative, and inexplicable experience. I wouldn’t even know where to begin to attempt describing this film other than it’s undeniably Verhoeveny. That said, it's somehow more reserved than usual for the director, despite the controversial subject matter. I'm still processing this one, but I'm glad I finally got around to seeing it.
