VIce Squad (1982) ***1/2

The streets are flowin' with neon slime (and so is this movie). Gary Sherman's Vice Squad (1982) is a true exploitation film—grimy (though not necessarily gratuitous), uncomfortable, and oozing authenticity. Wings Hauser is disturbingly believable as a wildly unhinged and violently misogynistic pimp (who seems to be singing the over the top theme song in character).
