The Meyerowitz Stories (New And Selected) (2017) ***1/2
With The Meyerowitz Stories (New And Selected) (2017), Noah Baumbach makes another very dry Woody Allenesque comedy about quasi-rich quasi-artistic New Yorkers with a very Joplinesque score by Randy Newman and the second best against-type Adam Sandler performance after Punch-Drunk Love (2002). Highly enjoyable and at times hilarious.
This was definitely far better than my expectations. I haven't seen Punch Drunk Love but I think this was another great performance like his Reign Over Me film.
