Cannonball (1976) ***

Tonally all over the place and—mostly divorced of sex, violence, and political satire—nowhere near as good as the previous year's Death Race 2000), Paul Bartel's Cannonball (1976) is nonetheless a fun ride (natch) with a cast of Corman all-stars. A perfect Sunday afternoon movie.
