Sushi Girl (2012) ***

It's easy to see the influence of Reservoir Dogs (1992) (and Quentin Tarantino in general) on Sushi Girl (2012), but it's a very fun crime caper with some pretty funny dialogue and a truly impressive assemblage of excellent character actors. Those include the inimitable Tony "Candyman" Todd, Noah Hathaway (Atreyu from The NeverEnding Story!), The Street Fighter Sonny Chiba, scene-stealer Mark Hamill, Greg Araki fave and Donnie Darko bunnyman James Duval, David Dastmalchian, The Lawnmower Man Jeff Fahey, the always underutilized Michael Biehn, and Machete himself (wielding said weapon), Danny Trejo.
