Sanjuro (1962) ****1/2 [Kuro-fune CC UHD Double Feature Pt. 2]
The further adventures of Toshirō Mifune's scowling, scratching, cool, and calculating ronin as he assists nine samurai to foil a corrupt plan. While Akira Kurosawa's Sanjuro (1962) is tonally more subdued than its predecessor, Yojimbo (1961) (review), it's a very strong follow-up, providing action, humor, and beautifully composed shots.
