Brewster's Millions (1945) ***

Having watched the 1985 version [review] yesterday, I decided to watch the 1945 version today, as it's included as an extra on the Shout Select Blu-ray that I received as a Christmas gift. The 1902 novel, on which both films are based, has been adapted many, many times. The 1945 version is a fun, fast-paced, and brisk film with good comic timing, indicative of its era. It's got a lot of what it takes to get along!
