The Eiger Sanction (1975) *** [Eastwood Double Feature Pt. 2]

Clint Eastwood's The Eiger Sanction (1975) is overlong, convoluted, and has some unfortunate, outdated stereotypes and dialogue, but this Bond-like adventure film features incredible cinematography, a very good Lalo Schifrin-like score by John Williams, and a thrilling authentic final act shot on location at the titular mountain (Eastwood performed many of his own very dangerous stunts and one experienced climber died during production).
