Two Mules For Sister Sara - International Cut (1970) ***1/2
Don Siegel's Two Mules For Sister Sara (1970) is a touch long* and not as strong as the director's best films, but Clint Eastwood and Shirley MacLaine have an undeniable chemistry, Ennio Morricone's score is incredibly catchy, and the picture is very enjoyable. A satisfying western with a good premise and a great ending.
*I've seen the film a couple of times before. I watched the International Cut this time, which is 114 minutes long, as opposed to the Domestic Cut, which is 105 minutes (comparison of the versions here), from the 4K UHD (the shorter cut is only on Blu-ray). Judging by the comparison though, it seems like I would miss the beats that are absent in the shorter version.
