Trading Places (1983) **** [Comedy Anniversary Double Feature Pt. 2]

I only saw Trading Places (1983) for the first time four years ago. I wrote in my review at that time that I thought it was very good, thanks to two great comic performances (Aykroyd and Murphy) and strong supporting roles by the likes of Ralph BellamyDon AmecheDenholm Elliott, and, in particular, Jamie Lee Curtis. Some of the humor is dated (though so over the top and ridiculous that I think it works), but a lot of the film still remains relevant, if a bit on the nose at times. The first time I watched the movie it didn't strike me as particularly quotable, but that wasn't the case this time—I enjoyed it even more and found it really funny.
