Love Lies Bleeding (2024) ***1/2
A strong (sorry, had to) follow-up to her debut feature, 2019's Saint Maud (which I also liked a lot), Rose Glass' Love Lies Bleeding (2024) is a unique romantic thriller with good performances (I'm still not sold on Kristen Stewart though) and a reliably great score by Clint Mansell. While this wasn't quite the home run I was hoping for and at times it felt like a Netflix movie, I did really enjoy it. I appreciate its more fantastical elements and the fact that it went bizarro in the finale.
