Ironmaster (1983) **

Ironmaster—no, it's not an exercise machine. It's Umberto Lenzi's 1983 sword and sorcery cheese-fest and it's...just all right. It's not as fun or weird as Antonio Margheriti's Yor, The Hunter From The Future (1983) (review), nor as wild and freaky as Lucio Fulci's Conquest (1983) (review) but it's still pretty entertaining (with the right audience). What never ceases to amaze me is just how much of a craze this genre was in the '80s and how many Conan The Barbarian (1982) (review) rip-offs were spawned.
