The Glass Key (1942), from a novel of the same name by Dashiell Hammett, is a solid noir featuring the second (of four) pairing(s) of Alan Ladd and Veronica Lake. The film has a great cynical sense of humor, wonderful actors, and a few impressive stunts—very entertaining all around.
